Giving to RHI

Recovery Houston Institute, Inc. (RHI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency incorporated in 1994 to provide comprehensive social services to homeless individuals who have substance use and mental health disorders.  RHI was established as a “one of a kind” agency helping adult men exit homelessness and substance abuse through treatment, vocational rehabilitation and ongoing social supports.

The vision of RHI is to provide a “recovery environment” that encourages self-sufficiency, stability and safety for men.  Our mission is to provide access to a comprehensive rehabilitation program that assists persons who are homeless and suffer from Substance Related Disorders and Co-Occurring Psychiatric Disorders in gaining long-term self-sufficiency.

RHI is based on a “collaborative community” model and offers access to a  continuum of on-site services through a variety of community based agencies that includes Residential Substance Abuse Treatment, Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment, Mental Health Case Management, Vocational Rehabilitation, Transitional Living (3/4 House), and Permanent Housing.
